Shayona Commits To Complete Police Construcion Project

Shayona Cement Corporation has commitment to construct state of the art road block shelter at Chibwaka in the outskirts of Mzuzu city.


Led by their Operations Manager, Prajeesh Padmanabhan Shayona Cement Corporation on Wednesday commitment to facilitate completion of works for the state of the art road block shelter at Chibwaka on the Mzuzu-Lilongwe M1 Road.


Padmanabhan says the shelter will be very unique as it will have an office for the incharge, holding cell and water closet inconvenience.


“We made this commitment in the office of the officer in charge responsible for Mzuzu Police Station Mr. Frederick Chande (SACP), which came after negotiations and discussions on the same the previous day.


“And we were taken to the roadblock in question by the officer in charge himself to appreciate the condition under which our police officers are in when you discharging their duties,” said Padmanabhan

The Officer In Charge, Frederick Chande thanked Shayona Cement Corporation Limited, emphasizing that the facility will go along way in improving commitment of officers deployed there for work.


“The agreement is a win-win deal for both Shayona Cement Corporation and Malawi Police Service in general and Mzuzu Police Station in particular since the it provide a conducive environment for officers and also provide a great marketing platform cement production giant in the country,” Chande said

The facility will cost around ten million Malawi kwacha and is expected to be completed in five weeks.
